The Club was busy on Hogmanay with a gathering of members and their guests. Amongst the entertainment was music from the VP’s House Band, there were also some solo performances from Tom Kater, Rose Sloan & George Carson.
A bonfire, in the shape of the Nativity Scene, was ignited by the Captain at about 11pm and fireworks, organised by Tom & Elaine, followed the bells.
Thanks to Lorna for her work behind the bar, to all who attended and especially to those who contributed to the festivities.
Our Social Convenor, George Carson, has some events planned for the coming few months, including an evening of music from John Graham of the Clydesiders (Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin, Vocals) and Jim Jack (Guitar, Vocal), with Special Guest Cy Jack (Bass, Keyboard). This is planned for Saturday 28th February. Details will be up on the website and Club noticeboards shortly.
George is also looking for an indication from anyone interested in attending a Whisky Tasting event at the Club. Please contact him via comments on this post or in person.
