A gathering of members and friends saw in the ‘Bells’ with a piper playing in the New Year.
Other musical entertainment was provided which included ‘Mingulay Boat Song’ – an old favourite at RWSABC.
Later in the morning some members enjoyed the traditional New Years Day paddle in their kayaks. This proved to be a bracing thrust into the wind and tide that took paddlers to Ashton and beyond Gourock. However, they enjoyed the push of the wind and the tide back to the Boat Club.
At 13:00 some members and friends (and indeed one of the kayak paddlers) ‘enjoyed’ a short dip off the slipway at the clubhouse.
