Driving past the Club on Sunday morning I was surprised to see so many cars parked outside. Then I remembered the kayak trip to Ardentinny that had left on Saturday morning. Paul is writing up the trip and this will be on the website shortly.
The kayak trip was not the only trip away at the weekend. A squad attended Troon CRC Regatta on Saturday as well, winning the Open Mixed & Sprint events as well as being well placed in the Open Men’s event.
A Royal West member was also in the Open Ladies winning boat. Karen Graham was on a composite with FoCCRC who came home comfortably in the event.
The Royal West crew winning the Sprint event was primarily made up of Graham’s. Adam, Karen, their son Andrew and Adam’s brother Ronald (Loch Ard RC) coxed by Mat Henderson.
Overall winners on the day were Carrick CRC from Maidens, winning by a single point from our hosts. Another fantastic day on the beach with fun and enjoyable racing.
Next event at the Club is the BBQ on Saturday night with Food, Music & Fun.
