Just a reminder that the annual Clyde Swim is on again this weekend, 18 August 2012. The race starts at 13.15hrs from Kilcreggan and the lead swimmers are expected to arrive at the Boat Club around 13.50hrs onwards. There will be the usual BBQ and refreshments and the Clubhouse will also be open.
This event relies on the support of kayakers to assist the swimmers across and the plan this year is for the paddlers to meet at the Club at 10.30hrs and then paddle over as a group around 11.00hrs.
So come along and help out if you can or just to cheer on the swimmers. Some of the Club’s Juniors are swimming the race as well and support from the membership would be great.
