RIVER CLYDE – MAINTENANCE DREDGING WORKS

MARCH AND APRIL 2013

Mariners are advised that maintenance dredging works will be carried out during March and April 2013 on the River Clyde.

The Trailer Hopper Suction Dredger WD MERSEY is expected to arrive on the 10th of March and the work is expected to take approximately 23 days.

During this period the vessel will be dredging at Greenock Ocean Terminal Berth and Approaches, Cardross Reach and the Dalmuir Bend area.

The associated bed levelling and surveying works will be carried out by the workboat TIOGA B and the dredged material will be deposited at the dump site off Cloch Point in the Firth of Clyde.

Mariners transiting the above areas should contact Clydeport Estuary Control, the WD MERSEY or the TIOGA B on VHF 12 for details of the status and position of the dredging operations; modifying their passage planning if required to take into account this activity.

Mariners should navigate at slow speed and with caution when transiting the above areas.

This notice applies to all vessels transiting the river in these areas.
