If you go to the Function and Events tab under About Club you will see that October is busy with both Club and private events.
The social events start with the October Boat Club Session on Friday 11th. Come along and support your club! Evenings of live music and singing. Traditional Pub sessions here in our own hall. Everyone gets the chanced to play a tune or sing a song. If anyone else knows the tune or song they can join in with support. All standards of players and singers welcome. The aim is to have a good time. Or just come and listen.
On the same weekend we have the Closing Cruise & Social Evening on Saturday 12th being organised by Alex Paterson. Meet at the Club at 1pm, assess conditions and agree a destination with all disciplines, swimmers can hitch a lift in a boat !! On the return a general tidy up around the sheds. Dinner in the Club at 7pm, bring in or order in your own food from wherever you like and have a few drinks in the club. The Club has crockery & cutlery. The plan is that each sporting convener will give an informal review of the season during the evening social.
We plan to have a beach tidy from 2pm on Sunday 13th for a few hours in preparation for winter. Hot food and drinks will be provided, your help / shovel would be really appreciated.
The following weekend is also busy with the MS Fundraiser on Friday 17th and the annual RNLI Coffee Morning & Christmas card sale on Saturday 18th. Please support both of these worthy causes.
Saturday 26th will be the Club’s Halloween Party, see below
Help will be needed on the Friday night to decorate the hall.
As of this Monday (7th October) the Bar opening hours will change to Winter hours. These can be seen on the About Club tab but in short the bar will not be open on a Monday night now until April 2014.
November & December are also busying up so keep an eye on the Events tab and News page.
