Folks,
The Police and Coastguard have asked us not to launch any boats from the Club tomorrow between 08:00 and 14:00. This is due to the operation that will be underway to recover, relocate and then destroy the unexploded bomb discovered off Gourock.
As you will see in the local press there are exclusion zones onshore and on the water, but we have been politely asked to avoid going afloat at all in this period. The bomb is to be moved from Gourock to the Hole off Holy Loch for destruction. One would image there will be a lot of Naval, Coastguard, Clydeport and Police activity, so best to stay ashore.
