Ocean to City – An Rás Mór rowing race in Cork, Ireland

The next Ocean to City Race will take place on Saturday 8th June 2013. It is the culmination of a weeklong celebration of the sea as part of the Ocean to City Maritime Festival, taking place 1st – 8th June 2013.

Modelled on London’s Great River Race, An Rás Mór incorporates races over several distances through Cork Harbour:
* Ocean course (15 nautical miles) from Crosshaven to Roches Point to Cobh, Monkstown and through Lough Mahon to Lapp’s Quay in Cork city
* City course (12 nautical miles) from Crosshaven to Cobh and to Lapp’s Quay
* Monkstown course (7 nautical miles), from Monkstown to Lapp’s Quay

We hope you might be interested to join us in 2013. It promises to be a particularly special year, as it coincides with the year-long celebrations of the Gathering Ireland 2013. As part of this nationwide initiative, we are pleased to launch an expanded Festival under the banner of the Gathering.

We are currently redeveloping the website and plan to open this year’s registrations around the start of February. If you are interested to find out more, I would encourage you to sign up to our newsletter and we will be in touch over the coming weeks. Alternatively, you could have a look at our old website which has lots of information.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Joya
