Dear Sir, Madam,
Last year we were kayaking in the stunning Summer Isles. Unfortunately, we noticed quiet some (fishermen) debris at the beaches.
We have decided to organise a beach clean up in the Summer Isles in May this year. My query is whether your organisation/members are interested in supporting this beach clean up.
One of the beaches will be on the mainland, in front of Port A Bhaigh Campsite, Altandhu, Achiltibuie, Ullapool, IV26 2YR, Tel: 01854 622339. Some beaches can only be reached by canoe or kayak. The owner of the campsite, David Last, welcomes our initiative and has offered that all participants can camp at his campsite free of charge. (At the opposite end of the campsite is a restaurant which serves mouthwatering fresh fish for very reasonable prices).
Suggested date beach clean up: Saturday May 3, 2014.
