Tuesday. What a way to start July!!!!!!

On a gloriously clear evening members, young & old, enjoyed an evening on the water.

After a sudden change of plans, due to a stiff breeze preventing them crossing the river, a group of kayakers headed round into Cardwell Bay to practice stroke work followed by some daring games in the kayaks.

Ruairidh Smith was also on the water on Tuesday night. He has kayaked regularly at the Club for about 4 years but has also been sculling at Castle Semple RC for a few years. This year he was 4th in the single sculls and 2nd in the double sculls, in his age group, at the Scot Champs. He is going to start using the Club’s scull, The Gantocks, so he can train more locally.
