As well as the Tall Ships Event in Greenock this weekend the club is hosting a rowing regatta. We will be racing in the new St. Ayles Skiffs and club Pairs. Racing should start about 11am and continue into the late afternoon. There are clubs visiting from Anstruther and North

Last weekend two crews from Royal West travelled to Glenarm on the Antrim coast to take part in the inaugeral Dalriada Challenge 7km race. 30/05/11 Crews from the club attended St. Ayles RC Regatta in Anstruther over last weekend. Seven members made up three crews, competing in the Men’s Open, Women’s 35+ and Mixed Open events. Considering this was Royal West’s first regatta with Chippy McNish the three second places we achieved was a fantastic result. Full results
The middle slipway extension is now finished. Many thanks to all those who helped in its planning, purchasing and construction. We are now able to launch and recover sailing/rowing boats much more easily down to a tide level of +0.5m. Andy Taylor
