Welcome Pack (under construction)

Whether you are new to kayaking or have previous experience we would like to welcome you to the Royal West of Scotland Amateur Boat Club.

At the Club House we have changing facilities, toilets and most importantly a hot shower for when you come off the water.

If you are new to kayaking, the Club is able to provide you with most things you will need to get started. Once you have tried the basics you can decide whether kayaking is for you.

The basic personal clothing you need to wear is dependent on the conditions.  The following link will take you to a list of recommended clothing.  Recommended Clothing LINK.

If you are an experienced kayaker and have your own boat, there is a kayak shed at the club where private boats can be stored (if space permits).

To help people decide if they want to join the club we offer a temporary membership which lasts for 1 month. Please send an email to
