Bard at the Boat Club 2024 – Information on this event
This is an alternative Burns’ Night. We have organised a varied programme of entertainment. The evening will start at 6:15 pm.
The evening will include:
- Address to Haggis,
- Bagpipes to greet the haggis and later piping of selected pieces,
- Burns songs accompanied by guitar,
- A performance of selected Scottish music on cello,
- A songs of Burns sing-along accompanied by piano,
- A recital of Burns poetry,
- A recital of contemporary poetry given by the author,
- Scottish place names and Burns trivia quiz.
This is a ticketed event. The price of the tickets includes a meal and entertainment. The cost is £15 per person.
Tickets must be purchased or reserved by Thursday, 25 January. Tickets will be available from behind the Bar during opening times. Alternatively, contact the Honorary Secretary to reserve a place and pay on the evening.
The meal will be haggis, tatties and neeps followed by shortbread & tablet with tea or coffee. There will be a vegetarian haggis option available and please indicate this is what you want when purchasing/reserving your tickets.
