The Royal West now has an Asbestos Management Plan. Part of this is the requirement to remove asbestos materials from the external area around the Club House.
The Committee has contracted Strada Environmental to have trained operatives undertake this work starting Monday 15 March. Work should be completed on Thursday 18 March.
During this work the external areas of the Royal West are off limits. You cannot visit or use the external areas between 7am on the 15th and 5pm on the 18th.
Strada Environmental will need to move boats and trailers located on the lower hard to do this work. They are going to work across the area. They will clear the boats and trailers from a strip of approximately 10m, undertake the asbestos removal, and then move the boats and trailers back to their original positions.
We are going to be inspecting the boats and trailers to be sure that the trolleys are in good condition and that this movement can be done easily.
