With a heavy heart, we regret to announce the passing of Hugh Kerr. Hugh was a long-time stalwart and supporter of Royal West.
Those who knew him would be able to tel you that he was lovely human being, respected by all, and a true adventurer on the water. Our thoughts are with Clair and the family at this difficult time. He’ll be sorely missed.

Hugh’s funeral will take place on Friday, 10 April at 2:30 pm in the Clydebank (Dolnotter) Crematorium. The address is Crematorium Lodge, Mountblow Rd, Clydebank G81 4SL
Hugh had been a member of RWSBAC since 1959. He participated in many long rows in the Heavy 4s. He was the captain of the first long row in 1968. He was instrumental in the introduction of kayaking at RWSABC via his involvement in schools kayaking. More recently, he was the prime mover for the commissioning and installation of the stained glass window in the Club’s Bar.l
