Gerard Malone is a 4-time champion of the RWSABC Clyde Swim. In 2015 and 2019 he was the fastest swimmer in the event. In the 2018 event he swam in the event without a wetsuit and won the male non wetsuit class.
Ally Robb has participated in 5 RWSABC Clyde Swims in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
This was the third time that the Event was an Esplanade Swim. In 2014 and 2015 the event was also run along the Esplanade due to weather conditions making a Clyde crossing unsafe.
