Between 25 June and 3 July, 54 Teams representing Clubs from The Netherlands, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the USA and Canada came together in Kortgene, The Netherlands for the SkiffieWorlds 2022.
The Royal West took our skiff Chippy McNish and competed in 13 of the events. Our team consisted of 15 Royal West rowers and 4 rowers from Royal Gourock Yacht Club. We did our best and had a fabulous time. We came back energised to improve and send a stronger team to the next SkiffieWorlds in 2025.
We encourage all Club Members to consider rowing and to pass the word to your friends and family. The next competitive outing will be on Saturday, 23 July when the Club will take part in the Prestwick Regatta. Another upcoming event is the Castle to Crane event on Saturday, 3 September.
