On Saturday, 31 July a team of 7 rowers took the Club Skiff, Chippy McNish to the Firth of Clyde Coastal Rowing Club (FoCCRC) regatta in Largs. The Royal West Team consisted of Karen Bennet, Ian Clark, Hugh Ferns, Adam Graham, Carron McKee, Steven Singh and Rose Sloan. Other Clubs present at the regatta were Arran, Cumbrae, Prestwick, Renegade and Troon. There were 5 races, these were Mixed +50, Mixed +60, Mixed Decades, Mixed Novice and Mixed Open. The Royal West placed 5th out of the 7 teams competing.

A reminder, the Royal West’s own rowing regatta will take place next weekend on Saturday, 7 August. The racing is expected to take place between 11am and 4pm.
