An article in the Greenock Telegraph on Thursday, March 2nd sang the praises of the Movie Nights at the Royal West.
The Movie nights have been running since 2018 and are a way to bring people into the Club when the sporting season is quiet. From their start they have been used to raise money for worthy causes. So far over £2500 has been raised for Branchton Community Centre, RIG Arts, Mind Mosaic, the RNLI and for Club funds.
The 2 most recent movie nights raised £919 for Branchton Community centre and this money will be used to support families on Easter days out.
Hats off to Lesley McLaren, the Royal West Member is the prime driver of these evenings and Lee Trotter who provides able assistance for these events. Rose Sloan, RWSABC Vice President is shown in the photo accompanying the article to emphasise the Royal West’s commitment to supporting the community.
One more movie night is planned before the end of spring – watch this space!
