On February 19 a Traditional Indian Food and Quiz night was held at the Club. This was a fundraising event for our rowers attending the Skiffie Worlds in Holland at the end of June. Around 60 people attended.
The Traditional Indian Food was provided by RWSABC Members Gurwinder Kaur, Steven Singh and family. It was a vegetarian feast! We cannot express enough our gratitude for all the effort they put in to produce such a superb meal, enjoyed by all.
A raffle was held. Our thanks to all those who donated prizes and bought tickets.
The Quiz Master was Joe Heffernan. The quiz had 5 categories and was won by a team who called themselves Scampo. This team contained our Rowing Convener Karyn Donnachie. The picture of winning team is among those shown above.
It is expected that this evening will have raised around £850 to support the Rowers. If you would like to support the Rowers they are having an another fundraiser on Saturday, 26 March. This event is a Prosecco Afternoon Tea, tickets cost £15 and are available at the Bar.
