The Club looked fantastic over the weekend with the freshly painted exterior, new stairs, boat sheds open and visitors wandering around. Members attended two events in Queensferry over last weekend. On Saturday we competed in the Queensferry CRC Regatta under the Forth Road Bridge, on Sunday we joined the Flotilla on the Forth to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Bridge itself. 11 members made the trip over the weekend. Amongst
For the first time in about five years one of the Club’s Jollyboats was “afloat” this evening for a short time. Sprite was lifted down and launched to check how watertight she is, ahead of a decision about entering her in the Nith Raid from Glencaple to Whitesands in Dumfries.

Royal West were on form again yesterday, winning the Overall Trophy at Firth of Clyde CRC’s first regatta, held at Largs Marina. We also won the Long Race Trophy and shared the Sprint Trophy with Carrick CRC from Maidens. The team included members new to competitive rowing, Craig Edgar &
We may not have walked 500 miles but clubs from as far afield as Fairlie, Irvine, Troon, Anstruther, Pittenweem & Port Seton joined us at Cumbrae in competing in the Cumbrae CRC Regatta this year. Again, another regatta on the West Coast blessed with beautiful weather and relatively calm conditions.
